As the trust is a limited company, the board of directors is in turn governed by the company’s members who will hold an annual general meeting, and other meetings if required. The members and directors have to act in accordance with key company documents known as the memorandum and articles of association. Antony Knight - Antony lives in the Holme Valley. In 2001 he gave up working as a Project IT Manager to become a full time carer looking after his 2 autistic children. Antony was initially a governor at Turnshaws School, Kirkburton and latterly became a governor at Castle Hill School.  He returned to full-time work in 2015 and is now employed by Kirklees Council as a Customer Services Manager. Antony is now looking forward to supporting ICAT's CEO and fellow Members and Directors.


David Crowther – David is a retired Human Resources Manager, having worked at Kirklees Council for 41 years, the last 10 years the Group Human Resource Manager for a group of services including  Children & Families. David was a member of Social Services Senior Management Team.
In 2007 David took early retirement and set up his own consultancy with clients as diverse as Tool Hire Company, Bluebird Care and Yorkshire and Humberside Grid for Learning
(YHGL) who specialised in Educational Software products. These skills will enable David to offer advice on all HR matters across the Trust. In 2016 David closed the consultancy to enjoy his retirement.


Dawn Whiteley MBE –  Dawn is an experienced and dedicated leader, passionate about start-up and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development. She has developed a vast experience of the needs of start-up and small businesses following twenty five years working in the enterprise support sector, together with personal experience of running a small family business. Before becoming the Chief Executive of National Enterprise Network in 2011, Dawn also worked for Business Link Yorkshire and West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency. She is the Chair of Governors at a local federated infant and junior school; was a Director of Customer First UK until 2016 and was Deputy Chair of the Action Halifax Partnership until its closure in 2010. Dawn was awarded an MBE for services to business support and enterprise in the Queen¹s 90th Birthday Honours in June 2016, she is a Fellow of the RSA and a Member of the IoD.


Mark Prior MSc – Mark has worked for Cummins Turbo Technologies in Huddersfield since 2008. The firm has had community connections with the school for 10 years and one of Mark’s ex colleagues was a governor here for 7 years from when the school opened in 2006. One of the main contributions the firm makes to the school is in organising the Graduation Ceremony, providing the funding and supporting the event.  This is the highlight of our Graduates year and of their families and friends.  The succession planning between Mark and the retiring governor was excellent.  Mark joined us in the last academic year and has strong leadership skills. Mark has worked in a variety of settings with diverse groups of people and is extremely knowledgeable about health and safety issues and financial arrangements. Mark is also very knowledgeable about personnel issues and all aspects of Human Resources.  He is also very involved in developing system leadership at Cummins.
